About This Cause
In 18 government schools across Gaya district, Bihar, over 2,000 children arrive at school hungry. Malnutrition reduces concentration and attendance — children who receive a nutritious mid-day meal are 30% more likely to stay enrolled.
Our kitchen programme provides a hot, balanced meal every school day: rice, dal, vegetables, and seasonal fruit. We source ingredients from local farmers, creating additional income for the community.
The programme has been running since 2023. With sustained funding, we can guarantee meals for the entire academic year.
