About This Cause

The Western Ghats — one of the world's eight biodiversity hotspots — has lost over 40% of its forest cover in the last 50 years. This threatens rainfall patterns, river systems, and the livelihoods of 6 million people who depend on these forests.

We work with 6 forest communities to plant indigenous tree species and restore biodiversity corridors. Our approach is community-led: local families receive training, tools, and income for planting and protecting trees. Every sapling is GPS-tagged and monitored for 3 years.

So far, 180,000 trees have been planted across 1,800 acres. Help us reach 10,000 acres by 2028.
