About This Cause
In Koraput district, Odisha, over 8,000 tribal residents rely on contaminated water sources — rivers and open wells shared with livestock. Waterborne diseases account for 40% of child hospitalisations in the region.
We are installing 40 solar-powered water purification units across 28 tribal hamlets. Each unit provides 2,000 litres of clean water daily and requires no electricity from the grid. Local community members are trained to maintain the units, ensuring long-term sustainability.
Phase 1 (12 units) is complete and already serving 2,400 people. Your donation accelerates Phase 2 and 3.
